Airflow

Air balancing involves adjusting the flow of air within an HVAC system to ensure that each area of a building receives the right amount of air, at the right temperature, and at the right pressure. This process can help address hot or cold spots in a building, improve air quality, and enhance overall system performance.

Air Handling Unit Testing

Large air handling units always ship in pieces, assembling these heavy pieces on a jobsite can be challenging and leave opportunity for air gaps your system was not designed around. Our team can come in and test your unit to the design specifications to ensure your equipment is air tight and operating as intended.

Hydronic

Water balancing is the process of adjusting the flow of water within a hydronic (water-based) heating or cooling system. This ensures that each part of the system receives the appropriate amount of water flow, which is crucial for maintaining consistent temperatures and efficiency.

We balance the following hydronic systems:

  • Boiler Pumps

  • Heating & Cooling Systems

    • Cooling Towers

    • Heat Exchangers

    • Chillers

  • Pumps (Hot and Chilled Water)

  • VAVs (Variable Air Volume Boxes) w/ Reheat Water

  • Unit Ventilators/Heat Pumps/Fan Coils

Domestic Water

BTI Balance Technologies worker holding a digital thermometer showing a temperature of 73.6°F near a bathroom sink with a chrome faucet and running water to ensure correct temperatures in domestic waters. .

Emerging building code is now understanding the importance of a effectively and efficiently balanced domestic water system. If having on demand hot water is important to your buildings occupants, domestic water balancing is critical to achieve the system design. Else if system pressures are of the essence, we can take care of those needs too.

Our team can come in and balance:

  • Bathroom/Kitchen Faucets

  • Eye Wash Stations

  • Showers

Duct Leak Testing

Duct systems leak air every day, air you paid to heat or cool lost to your ceiling space. We have just the test for that. Our team can come in and pressure test your duct to determine exactly how much air it is leaking. While your new system is being constructed, we can provide that data as independent feedback to the mechanical contractor to make informed changes that will improve your system.

Stair/ Elevator Pressurization

Safety is always our number one priority, in the event of a fire, the safe passage out of your building needs to be smoke free and automatic. We have the training to setup stair pressurization systems and perform tests with the city to ensure that your life safety systems are in place and top performing in the event of a fire.
